Current favourite fandom: I can't choose just one :( How you define favourite? I'm still reading mostly SVSSS fic, but Dragon Age and Star Wars have a permanent grip on my heart, and I'm obsessing over a new kdrama every week but they don't have eng fandoms
Current OTP (or OT3 etc): Bingqiu? Wangxian? I haven't been OTP centric recently, more generally into shows/movies
Are you having a Renaissance (tm) this year (or every year!): Interview with the Vampire is the big one from me this year - if it had finished airing before G/T I would've considered doing a presentation! - but it is so close and dear to my heart that I don't want to get too excited before it comes out just in case it's terrible
Food for Thought
How does better (arguably) queer rep in canon affect your relationship with fandom? Fic still necessary? Just fun now? Still better thought out than lazy shoehorning? Worse than ever? Too many puriteens? Sound off here: Fic is always necessary! It's never been something that I look for to fix the canon, more to fill in missing details or going down an alternative trouser leg of time. Sometimes I think "better" (but more boring) canon rep is a a fic fandom killer (for me at least) because I almost never enjoy reading about happily committed couples - there needs to be something missing, either a get together or something else. I think this is one reason why the Wangxian has been so popular in transformative fandom, because it straddles the line of canon but also not, with an open ending.
there are way too many puriteens around, and I don't know if it's a Gen Z specific problem or just american cultural imperialism manifesting puritanism/evangelical beliefs in a woke hat
Actual Food
My Hell Pizza order for Saturday night is (please bold or ALL CAPS any allergies/intolerances): chicken tenders, crumbed camembert, and lemon pepper wedges with sweet and sour, sweet chili, and garlic mayo for sauce!
It costs this much, which I will add to my subs when I pay those: $26
More crudites, more chips, or more biscuits? crackers and chips
Hummus or sour cream dips? both! I'm particularly fond of lisa's feta and spinach dip
Coke or juice? coke
I said coke and my preferred version is: vanilla
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! (DM me the g/t bank account): yes please, I just realised I don't have g/t saved as a payee
