And here's one I prepared earlier

Preferred first name: Victoria

My primary fandom: Stargate Atlantis (I am so sorry, Smallville)

My secondary fandom: Supernatural (I am *so* so sorry, Smallville)

OTP forever: Sheppard/McKay (How many times do you want me to apologise, Lex???)

I'm collecting the cash! ;-p

Tea

Trim milk

Sprite (Diet)

I don't eat: Carbs. Shut up! Il faut souffrir d'etre beau.

My definition of slash is: A same sex relationship observed in the subtext to a work. I'm one of those sticklers that says if it's actually in the canon it's not slash.

I like slash because: I adore the dynamics of passionate friendship. The "I'd do anything for you" of it all. I've always loved buddy films, whether it be cops, soldiers, cowboys, etc. Add hot sex and it's even better. And I still hate the way women are portrayed in mainstream media. Scully's just about the one true love of my tv watching life. So I find it very hard to get that vibe in a man-woman combo. Or, to be honest, in that rarer than a rare thing, the female friendship.

I discovered slash by: I was reading a non-fiction history of Star Trek. And the male writer, obviously appalled, mentioned the dreadful, evil, insane women who thought Kirk and Spock were filthy perverts and gay for each other. I confess I agreed that they must be nutcases. Then I stumbled across an old zine at a friend's place, then I discovered the interwebs, and then I realised I *was* a dreadful, evil, insane woman who couldn't watch tv without thinking that the heroes were filthy perverts and gay for each other.

My bullet proof kink: Fast cars (OT3??? Lex/Clark/Ferrari; Sam/Dean/Impala; Sheppard/McKay/Puddlejumper). Grim peril. Ruling the world. The control freak in a partnership bottoming.

My major league squick: No change here. It's still eroticised sexual violence. It's Not. Fucking. Sexy. It's a crime. Ridiculously OOC behaviour justified as AU. It's not interesting. It's lame. Unless it's a spoof. But that's a different story.

I, um. I know what you mean. U2 are sitting in a corner somewhere cryingdrinking heavily because I haven't exactly paid them any slash-fannish attention in at least six months. Um. due South seemed so fun and harmless and nostalgic! *g*
