The dates for g/t this year, unless every single member cries and can't make it, will be October 2nd to 4th. Announcing early so that in these times of economic karmageddon we can maximise our airpoints/savings etc.

We're investigating all the venue and accommodation options. Obviously this year we know to ask about capoeira drummers. ;-p

Hope to see you all there. Unless you're off to the States, in which case I guess we'll let it pass.

Oh cool. Elaine and I are going to the US at the end of October (fingers crossed)... after AKgeddon, so barring any drastic financial catastrophies (or acts of a vengful God) I'll be down there. Not sure about Elaine though.

If this was confirmed dates, I'd be so tempted to book tickets right now, since there's reasonably priced Qantas fares at the moment.

On the other hand, its only a few days after a gruelling exam, and I'm not sure about finances.

Yay! I was so sorry to miss it last year. There's some airfare sales on right now so as soon as these dates are 100% confirmed I think a few of us will be booking.

BTW, when you say 2nd to 4th, do you mean stuff will happen during the day on the 2nd (which is a friday or just the evening?

Full festivities will begin Friday evening, but I'm on holiday, so subset activities will be on all day for as many people as possible if you guys fly in early!!!

Hi. *waves* china_shop has twisted my arm graciously persuaded me to finally make it this year so I am being brave and coming out of the corner.

My slash history is Sentinel to dueSouth to SGA with minor interests all over the place and I'm a reader/lurker/fan not writer/artist/fan. I've been in Dunedin for 15 years and am now a New Zealander but am originally from the States.

So, fingers crossed that life cooperates, I hope to join you lovely ladies in Wellington in October.
