Hi there - putting my toe in the water for this!

I don't have a clear idea about what's been done in the past, but there are a few things I've thought up, so if any of them appeal, let me know.

A session about podfic, podcasts and audiobooks - I'm a podficcer myself, but it'd be a bit wider than that. I'd include audio-excerpts to demo samples, and show links to podcasts, etc. Both to pimp the audio side of fandom, and a little bit on past controversies and current resources.

A sampler of Fanart recs - I'm a regular multifandom reccer at this DW site and I can put together an art show of stuff that I and others have reccd. It'd need a reasonable datashow projector though, I think, to see the art, so I'm not sure if that'd work. Would be happy to take requests to include art from particular fandoms in the lead-up to GT! :)

Pimping Bironic as a vidder and writer. Bironic's probably well known to people, but just in case. It'd mostly be vids, some multifandom, some SGA and a few others, so you might not want another vid-heavy session? Also I'd need guidance on the tech side of how people put these shows together. Embedding downloaded vids in a ppt? (I assume we wouldn't have streaming available direct from the net.)

Also, a suggestion/request. If anyone has the faintest idea about how Imzy is supposed to work, could they talk about it? *has no clue, is still semi-baffled by tumblr*

I'm probably gonna say hold fire on another vidshow, yeah, though we should be able to timetable in some recs and discussion at the end of one of the others. I love your audio idea, and the art show sounds good too. I think our projection technology is pretty solid, the only trouble is occasionally Wellington comes through with full sunshine and that can cause some glare issues. I was already thinking about Imzy, so I think I can see you right there, too. *\o/*

Yes, good to go, although of course I haven't pulled either together yet!
Um, not sure about the length - what's usual? I can fit in. Probabaly less time for the art show one, although I'll cover different types of art and one or two downloaded vids I hope, of works being done. For the audio one I'll have recorded samples from podfics rather than playing a whole thing, unless it's very short. Plus links and I guess screenshots of sites/resources, etc. for podfic, audiobooks, podcasts (although the latter aren't my main forte).
Re tech stuff, they'll be ppts and I will embed vid, image and audio files in the ppt. Then will bring both ppts on a flashdrive. That sound OK?
