Food for Thought
How does better (arguably) queer rep in canon affect your relationship with fandom? Fic still necessary? Just fun now? Still better thought out than lazy shoehorning? Worse than ever? Too many puriteens? Sound off here: I reckon fic is still necessary. Of course I don't actually like watching narrative tv anyway, so my only contact with a lot of fandom is the fic. And a twitter eye view of what other people are enthusiatic about at the moment (hi #911!). Puriteens are irritating, but I am very sure I was an irritating teen myself, and have probably not entirely stopped yet, so I try not to let it bother me.
