How does better (arguably) queer rep in canon affect your relationship with fandom? Fic still necessary? Just fun now? Still better thought out than lazy shoehorning? Worse than ever? Too many puriteens? Sound off here: Depends on fandom. Even though a lot of shows/movies now have canonically queer characters, it's still rare that they get much limelight so lots of room for fic to fill out all the details! I do find myself less I NEED IT for fic for queer books though where the canon already does everything I want already.
