1) The Fannish Basics
Who are you and where can we find you (preferred name/user names across your preferred platforms/where you’re most active):
tamarillow on lj, dw, tumblr and twitter, and willowberry on AO3 and pinboard, although I just bookmark on AO3
Are you a reader, a writer, an artist, a vidder, a lurker, all of the above, or something else entirely:
reader. and I keep swearing I am going to start podficcing things, so I should get on that.
Wax lyrical about your current fandoms and OTPs:
I'm actually reading quite a bit of hobbit fic at the moment in between sweeps of old fandoms and looking for non-angsty winter solider fic.
Reminisce with one perfect crystal emo tear for the ship that sank or the fandom that finally faded away:
My fandoms don't really fade away, although I am reading much less early fandom stuff, because 'I'm not gay, I just love you' gets old fast, and newer fandoms are better at that.
Any squicks or kinks (be clear which is which, *g*):
Hate noncon, dubcon, abuse. Still love soulmating, but only sometimes...
Fannish highlight of your year:
Get Together is always my fannish highlight. Although yuletide is pretty great too.
Favourite new show/movie/comic/source text since last year:
My favourite shows tend to be home renovation, cooking or documentaries, which don't tend to be very fannish as such. George Clarke's Amazing Spaces is awesome though, and so it Two Fat Ladies.
Favourite AO3/tumblr/twitter tag:
Hmm. I really like the long rambling tags. Even if they are useless for searching on almost always. eg "a hapless mugger who really did not know what he was getting into here", "Dummy Is The Best Robot Matchmaker", "Natasha Romanov Is a Good Bro"
Where do you do the bulk of your fannish interaction? Is there a hotbed of awesome out there that someone might be missing out on? Any specific comms or tumblrs or rec sites or tags we should be following?
I am never going to be the first adopter of amazing new sites. And AO3 is the site to rule them all, for fannishness.
Are you taking part in Yuletide or Festivids this year? Are there any other fantastic exchanges we should all know about?

How many g/t’s have you been to?
Wow I was useless at posting to lj. I just tried to track that down but nope. Oh well. Probably 6?
How did you hear about your very first one/from whom/whose lj flist were you on?
I and nishatalitha and hazel (then maudlinrose) went to a meetup with astolat when she was in Wellington and met Wellington fangirls and then! Awesome things followed! Like Get Together and Fat August and Fan Girl Friday.
Have you ever done a presentation at g/t? What was it? (Especially if it was in Year 1, 2, or 3, for which records are slightly murky.)
Nope.
Best g/t memory ever (or that you can remember right this minute):
First year I was there vid show. there were SO MANY and I'd never seen lots of them and it was great!
Thoughts on how Fandom (capital F deliberate) has changed over the last decade:
I think it's started seeing itself more as a vehicle for including more people that mainstream media does in the stories, in terms of sexuality, gender identity, ethnicities, cultures, religions and so on. As a bastion for liberal inclusion. Don't know that that's exactly working out in practice, but in terms of Fandom's self image...
Thoughts on how fandom (your more personal experience of it) has changed over the last decade:
My personal experience has become more social. Which is great.
