Wax lyrical about your current fandoms and OTPs: Ever deeper into m/m romance novels. I keep hoping for a new show that could be my media fandom home but so far nothing I want to read fic in has come along. OTPs forever: John/Rodney, Fraser/RayK, and Jim/Blair.

Reminisce with one perfect crystal emo tear for the ship that sank or the fandom that finally faded away: Repeating myself from last year: I still love, deep in my heart, SGA with all its flaws. SGA was perfect for “fill-in all the missing scenes” and “write it the way it should have been” and people took up the challenge and did amazing things in word, picture, and vid. TPTB pretty much forever tainted my memories of the show. But I still love the fandom that was.

Any squicks or kinks (be clear which is which, *g*): Squicks – Not fond of zombies, horror, or gruesome. Heavy BDSM makes me wince though BDSM-lite is fine and dandy. Non-con and dub con generally a no-go area, as is power imbalance. Kinks – First times, first loves reunited years later, friends to lovers, snark, humour, good world building. Long, many chaptered stories or series verging on badfic are a guilty pleasure.

Fannish highlight of your year: Get/together

Favourite new show/movie/comic/source text since last year: Still enjoying MCU and Agents of Shield. I have not yet watched Daredevil yet but hope to rectify that before g/t. Following Arrow and Flash. (Not sure if I’ll bother with their new spinoff.) HBO’s Looking, which I’ll pimp (and of course just as I get into it, Looking gets cancelled. But they are doing a 2 hour movie to finish plotlines).

Favourite AO3/tumblr/twitter tag: nope – got nothing

Where do you do the bulk of your fannish interaction? Is there a hotbed of awesome out there that someone might be missing out on? Any specific comms or tumblrs or rec sites or tags we should be following? I mostly lurk about on Twitter with a rare comment but I do try to remember to check in on LJ to see if anything is going on. And hang out around m/m romance publisher and author facebook pages, twitter, and blogs.
