Primarily a reader but sometimes I write.

Wax lyrical about your current fandoms and OTPs:
Bleh. Mostly I'm spending my evenings gaming - this year has also involved trips through Merlin, Smallville, Harry Potter, The Losers, Pride & Prejudice, and uh a bunch of other fandoms. I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Reminisce with one perfect crystal emo tear for the ship that sank or the fandom that finally faded away: There are no tears. There is only apathy. Apathy and the internet wayback machine. Apathy and 3-day binge-fests through old fandoms while eating corn chips.

Any squicks or kinks (be clear which is which, *g*):
I like banter and porn. I don't like non- or dub-con. I also like found families, post-apocalyptic rebuilding, home renovations, kidfic, lingering descriptions of food, and the odd ridiculous AU.

Fannish highlight of your year:
Honestly honestly? This is a sad tale of domesticity, but me & tamarillow telling each other about the gloriously bad Harry Potter AUs we've been reading while we do the dishes.

Also all of you. Aww.

Favourite new show/movie/comic/source text since last year:
Daredevil! Also Holmes Makes It Right, but that isn't so much fannish as the residents of the Shire shrieking to each other about bad fuse choices.

Where do you do the bulk of your fannish interaction? Is there a hotbed of awesome out there that someone might be missing out on? Any specific comms or tumblrs or rec sites or tags we should be following?
I'm too old and cantankerous for hotbeds. I do the bulk of my interaction on twitter or in meatspace.

Are you taking part in Yuletide or Festivids this year? Are there any other fantastic exchanges we should all know about?
I plan to attempt Yuletide once more!

Any thoughts/comments/memories you’d like to add to last year’s anniversary reminiscences?

Tea, and I might bring along a bottle of lactose-free milk which other sad non-dairy-consuming people may partake of.

Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Lemonade, Juice?
COKE IS MY ONCE AND FOREVER KING though sometimes I drink juice BUT LET'S BE REAL HERE: COKE.

Crudites, Potato Chips, Corn Chips, Lollies, Biscuits, Chocolate?
Crudites as my number 1 preference though I will consume everything on this list.

We are all awesome and I would be more in favour of a fannish commune if we could afford something that wasn't in Nightcaps.

Real talk: I am convinced that our aging population, the cost of housing, and the Man Drought mean that in future if we wish to avoid rest homes we will all be living in single adult women who hate men communes, and it kills me that it's probably going to be in Nightcaps. Or very tiny.

Not even kidding, you can currently buy 2 houses in Marton (just north of Bulls) on one section for $115k. They're not GREAT, but - real talk - an Old Age Manhating Lady Commune within an easy drive to a Real City is probs actually within our grasp.
