What handles do you go by, and where are we most likely to find you?

I generally go by Bladeofthenebula or some variation of on most of the sites I use, Erin in RL.

Are you a reader, a writer, an artist, a vidder, a gamer, a lurker, all of the above, or something else entirely?

Voracious reader - when I get a new ship I hit AO3 and I hit it hard. I am also a very occasional writer and I recently got into gaming after my sister and I spent a week trying to finish The Last of Us and I inherited a friend's xbox.

Wax lyrical about your current fandoms and OTPs:

My current fandom that I still can’t get enough of is the MCU - Steve/Tony mostly but I dabble in a few other character pairings as well.  I also read alot from my older ships: Fraser/RayK (Due South), Merlin/Arthur (Merlin), Kirk/McCoy (Star Trek AOS), Holmes/Watson (in all its incarnations really) and my first love, McKay/Sheppard (Stargate Atlantis).

Reminisce with one perfect crystal emo tear for the ship that sank or the fandom that finally faded away:

Less fading away and more weeping for what could of been. Deep sadness for the cancelling of Almost Human and Forever, which each had a season of such promise, but nothing more…

Any squicks or kinks (be clear which is which, *g*):

I’ll read anything, provided it’s presented well or I learn something new. Preference wise though, I generally shy away from RPF, and I don’t really care for gore or body horror. Mostly I just enjoy happy endings, characters being dorky/snarky/adorable, natural sounding dialogue, epic plots and that occasional fic that just hits you right in the feels (though preferably with that happy ending pulling everything together). I love complete AUs  - historical, rom-commy or using another fandom’s premise.

P.S Podfic is amazing and there should be more of it always.

Fannish highlight of your year:

Finally competing in GISHWHES after years of promising myself I’d do it next time. I helped plaster a bus stop with motivational post-it notes and held a meeting at work dressed as zombie. It was glorious.

In a minor fannish highlight, I bounced back into Supernatural, got myself up to speed and regret nothing.

Favourite new show/movie/comic/book/source text since last year:

I recently watched all of Longmire which turned out to be great - Oh Lou Diamond-Phillips, so sass.

Where do you do the bulk of your fannish interaction? Is there a hotbed of awesome out there that someone might be missing out on? Any specific comms or tumblrs or rec sites or tags we should be following?
