oh man I'm gonna have to nope out half an hour into the first discussion session* (so if you need me to mod, it will have to be Sunday) but I will be there for everything else.

*I have the high and sacred honour of distributing drink tickets at the party so my election night starts on election afternoon. I would not nope out for anything less important

Will there be sausage rolls along with drinks? It's surely not a lefty election party without.

This may shock you but I can't actually recall sausage rolls at an election night party in the last six years - in Wellington we usually get professional catering now so it tends to be more your hors d'oeuvres/charcuterie platter kind of thing. A tragic cultural loss tbh (though when we had our conference in Dunedin the locals showed up with cheese rolls, so we have not lost all touch with working-class cuisine)
