It's only about a week to d-day.

*shrieks, runs, hides*

No, really.

I can't believe how busy I've been recently. I know it's an appalling cliche, but I honestly don't think I've *ever* been this busy in my life.

Of the good: my debaters have mad skillzors and have crushed all before them. Total hegemony is ours. [/no modesty here]

Of the bad: I somehow agreed to go a conference on "podcasting and related technologies in education". No, really. My agreement took the form of knowing what podcasting was when it came up. More fool me for opening my damn mouth. Now I get to spend three days in Christchurch with a bunch of nerds. Actually no, they're unworthy of that august title. Last time I went to an ICT conference I tried my hardest to bring about armageddon with my psychic powers while those around me complained their messages weren't appearing on the bulletin board. I couldn't think of a polite way to say put your fucking cursor in the fucking box before you start typing.

But enough about my special hell. Let's return to Special Hell.

Is there anything you'd particularly like to have us (I'm thinking me and Chris here, especially since we don't have to worry about baggage allowance on the way down) bring? I mean, aside from the lemons which we're already planning due to other requests. :D But, like... I don't know, loo paper? Beverages which don't require immediate refridgeration? Staple-type foods? Or are we thinking some kind of epic, Wellington-destroying grocery run when people are in attendance (actually, that could be terrifically entertaining in some respects, HEE) or... I don't know, see, I'm all blathering due to a) complete lack of experience and b) long week.

Congrats to your debaters, though, and... oh dear god, people sometimes. Eek. You have my sympathy on that end, for sure.

No worries at all. No need to bring anything, though lemons rock. Poor McKay. Unless you have favourite forms of cheap funny alcohol. Not that we usually drink heaps, but a few bottles never go astray.

Okeydokey, we'll just bring the random stuff I already had noted down somewhere, then, sounds good. I can no longer look at anything of a citrus nature without having SGA-related thoughts. And, man, yeah, because I would hate to not be able to eat lemon-flavoured things. Poor Rodney. Lucky he has Sheppard to play with instead. :D And, random drinkables, can do that for sure.
