Hey all.

We're in countdown phase now, yippee. In that vein, I'd like to confirm the guest contributors, length of time for their presentations, and equipment/tech support required. This will in theory allow China and I to finalise the timetable.

So. This list is the people who submitted papers volunteered to present. I know there have been some changes, and I've endeavoured to keep up with those, but I'm unsure in a couple of places.

Can you please confirm by comment 1) The title of your presentation; 2) a wee blurb/witty oneliner for the programme; 3) format (powerpoint, clipvid etc, I just want to make sure I have all necessary programs on the Designated Laptop); 4) rough guess at length (noone will play music to get you off the stage!)

Other than that... If you can bring your presentation on a flash drive and transfer it to the Designated Laptop in the morning, I think that will greatly facilitate the smooth running of this submarine. I want to leave the DL permanently hooked up, and not switch unless we absolutely have to.

Ooh, and. Last call for vids, I'm finalising the show. Anything awesome come out in your fandom in the last month? Hit me.

My presentation is still a WIP. However, I can tell you that it's a general show pimp with a focus on the Ianto/Jack relationship, with a bit of an overview of the fandom.

It's on powerpoint.

Length? Um, give me a 15-20 min window so that people can ask questions or look at more pics of Ianto & Jack snogging.

I am also prepared to read my award-winning badfic again if anyone is interested? Maybe once was scarring enough....

I'm nearly done! I think a pimp for Nip/Tuck would have a captive audience of Saw fans and no one else, so this is 98% gore free Sean/Christian focussed.

It's currently in vidshow format, but seeing as I have to give a fair bit of context and explanations (and tell you about the bits I can't show) I'm thinking of putting some of the more hilarious promo pictures on powerpoint or just throwing the pictures up there. Rough guess is 30-40 minutes (long winded person is long...)

Ha ha. Yeah, secretly my DW set is long too. I gave it my best, but I couldn't *actually* get forty five years of canon into fifteen minutes... My laptop isn't bigger on the inside. ;-p

Oooh! I bought a set of g/t cups yesterday. So we have a dedicated set for the future too. The price was so good I couldn't resist -- cheaper than plastic, ironically. So if you can factor seven bucks into the budget we'll be sweet.

*Meep* Am bad at guessing/anticipating what won't bore anyone else to tears, and I've become resigned to current fandoms and fans being into their thing and looking at old skool like it's old skool unless the dust falls miraculously from their eyes not looking at anyone in particular *g*.

So I have Gwyr's "Broken English" for the vid show, or I can use it in a Pros pimp (as told in vids, because my episode ripping skills suck) of about 15 minutes. Or I can just sit in my corner and get drunkshut up.

It sort of is a sekrit (well in its final form) but the two I put in were "Walk the Line" and "Call it Love". Which are probably my third and fourth favourites after "A Fire is Burning" and "Tender Comrade", but I put those in last year. I loved both of them before I even loved Pros. "Fire" is one of my favourite single vids of all time, regardless of fandom, and I think it says a lot that it works even if you don't have a clue. (I saw it for the first time on scratchy old video lying on my bed at g/t all those years ago, remember? And I hadn't seen Pros since I was five!)

Cross-stitchery is definitely putting something together because she's asking for contributions/suggestions from the f-list. :-) I have an emergency backup TS powerpoint if all else fails...*g* And I'm bringing some more vids with me now that I've discovered flash drives.
