i don't know if the organisers have started looking for venues, but would it be feasible to look for a place that has space for the out of towners to bunk down for the weekend, rather than fork out for hotel rooms? preferably somewhere that supplies mattresses :)

Hah, cool, I never had slumber parties as a kid, let alone slashy ones. I second this idea, as it's justa few weeks before the big US trip and I neeeeeed to save the dosh.
