My comment on slash is: What I said last year: "It's diabolical and nutritious! Sometimes I like slash because it develops a relationship between two characters that I feel have great chemistry (Rory/Paris.) Sometimes I like it because it's the best way to read a show (Clark/Lex, McKay/Sheppard) - i.e. it's more revealing. Sometimes I like it because two characters are really in love, or have a relationship that would be flirtatious or romantic if they were opposite sexes, but heterosexism means that relationship won't be explored fully on-screen (Fraser/Kowalski, Tom/Carl). I always enjoy the element of subversiveness to slash and the opportunity to read about queer characters."

My comment on fandom more generally is: Oh fandom I love you and you make me pull my hair out in equal measure, but you can always make me laugh.

I still haven't read anything (currently working my way through the Authority back catalogue, which is revoltingly violent but super gay except do you notice how the longer the run goes the less Apollo and Midnighter actually touch each other it's starting to bother me). but I think I'm going to give Static Shock and maybe Red Hood & the Outlaws a go and I think ... that's it. Oh, Blue Beetle, I should try Blue Beetle.

I haven't seen the Red Hood & the Outlaws preview, I should go do that.

I did notice that, yes. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing them get together in the new Stormwatch -- they met cute in issue 1.

Pretty much everything I've looked at has left me cold. Not necessarily irate, but just meh. Whatevs. So you took away what I liked, and left me with this. Though I did like Damian telling Bruce the sainted parents were just dusty pictures to him. And Alfred replying that they were most certainly *not* dusty. But if Jason/Roy takes off, I think I will quite enjoy the red-headed step slash.

I. WISH. AFAIK there isn't (I feel like I might be forgetting some drabbles or something but nothing significant). But I have a daydream about writing some. Or, OK, this one fic where Nita and Kit are together and Nita goes away for awhile for some obscure reason and they open their relationship up (god, so OOC, but whatever) and Kit and Ronan do a roadtrip across the USA and kind of start having sex and Ronan is all freaked out about it at first because he's like whoa don't cheat on Nita and then Kit explains it and they have AWKWARD TEENAGE BOY SEX you know what I mean AND THEN Nita comes back and they all have loads and loads of sex. THE END.

I have bits and pieces of this written but it's just beyond me and I wish I could con someone into writing it for me. :(
