What do we need to bring to sleep on? Do we need to bring mattresses and stuff? (Which is tricky from overseas...)

No, between futons and mattresses and couches we have enough to go round if you don't mind close quarters. And really if you do... tough luck. ;-p

A few sleeping bags would be useful, but usually the kiwis bring those.
