Calling all Auckland friends...

Right!

I have finally managed to sort myself out. "Are you joking trying to book accommodation in Auckland for a long weekend on the Wednesday???" Why no, I am relying on the sheer useless miniscule horridness of the hotel I stayed at last year to ensure that it is empty. And lo, my faith is rewarded. Lilliput here I come.

I'll see most of you there, I assume, and will text on arrival. Naturally I want to lunch/dine/coffee (all/some of the above) with as many of you as possible. I'm going to have M with me, but she is awesome, fear not. Also you all met her when you stayed at Stately Luthor Manor, and we screamed "Porn! Anal sex!" at her boyfriend, now husband, so no censorship is required. That ship is long sailed.

I have queries:

1) The Edge is useless and will not let me book three-day passes online. If I succeed in ordering by phone, does anyone at all of you work/study in town and would be able to pick them up for me??? So I can avoid the heinous queues when I arrive exhausted, especially with my mundane friend...

2) Where on earth can I park my car Saturday morning to Monday midday without having to sell my first-born?

*bats eyelashes, twirls, looks pretty (and helpless)*

Saturday night room party? :D We are staying across the road from the Aotea centre, so we're nice and central, at least. *plots for lunches/dinner/general flailing and squee with as many of you guys as possible*

And re: 2, I will have a think about it (and also ask the hotel when we check in if we can have two cars in their valet parking thing - possibly yes, as I maybe implied our third person is coming up from another city and could have a car too - which is meant to be like $13 a day which is FAR more reasonable than most town parking) and let you know if anything brilliant occurs.

Yeah, two 3-day passes is exactly what I need. Can you just buy them and I'll give you the money Saturday morning, or do you need me to try to wreak some credit card magic over the phone?

Just wanted to say thanks again for picking up the tickets, you certainly made life a lot easier. It was a shame we didn't get to spend more time catching up, but I enjoyed the time we did manage to snatch.

Yeah, there's soooo much to do at Army and not enough time to do it all. I think I'm getting old *heh*.

Was much fun and I'm looking forward to Get_Together next year for more fangirling.
