Preferred first name: Lyn or Erilyn
Reader/Writer/Vidder/All of the Above: Reader
My current primary fandom: that's a tricky question for the last year. Maybe my gay soap operas (especially One Life to Live and As the World Turns)? Still poking around in bandom and American Idol (though not reading much fic). Glee. Who-verse. Sherlock, though haven't had much time to read the fic.
My current secondary fandom(s): Other shows that I'm watching (but not necessarily involved in fannishly at this stage) include NCIS (Original Flavour and Extra Gay LA), White Collar, Bones, Criminal Minds, Castle, Supernatural. Most of which can be summarised as "...and together they fight crime (or evil)". Yeah, I don't know either. Oh, and Big Bang Theory.
Fandom(s) I’ve broken up with: Torchwood (the show). House and I aren't really seeing much of each other lately either. I tend to never fully break-up with fandoms - sooner or later, I'm re-reading the fic (though whether I'm re-watching the source material is a different matter).
Fandom(s) I just can’t quit: Can you get a restraining order against Smallville?
OTP forever: Kyle/Oliver, Luke/Reid, Jim/Blair, Bodie/Doyle, Wes/Gunn, Fraser/RayK, Clark/Lex, Mckay/Sheppard, Mulder/Krycek, my sparkly popboys, Frank/Gerard, Pete/Patrick, Kirk/Spock (and really, if I stop focusing on fannish slash pairings, Jack/Jennifer from Days were possibly my first OTP, and I still have love for them. Sonny/Brenda from General Hospital too).
OTP sometimes: Morgan/Reid, Jack/Ianto, Chris/Vin, Mac/Victor, Dan/Casey,Van/Deaq, Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan, Seregil/Alec, Alan/Billy, Brian/Justin, I could keep going and going...
OTP never, baby, OT3/OTTeam/OT?: hmmm...Nine/Rose/Jack
My comment on slash is: To quote Evolution (a very underrated movie) - "there's always time for lube!"
I like slash because: it's hot, and while I can get good het (sometimes, okay, maybe occasionally) from mainstream media, we're still kinda screwed on the gays (*shakes fist at soap opera producers*).
I discovered slash by: same story as always - needed more Krycek fic (had run out of gen and het), so I cautiously started checking out the ones labelled slash and found that a) they didn't (necessarily) involve cutting/bloodplay like I'd assumed and b) HOLY FUCK GIMME MORE.
My bullet proof kink: don't know why, but I love wake up married/arranged marriage/pretending to be married stories, coming out/getting outed, pining
My major league squick: chan, incest
My guilty pleasure: wallow fics - where they're not very well written, but are adequate enough so that I don't get too annoyed while immersing myself in OOC-ness and over-the-top melodrama.
I first found out about (my first) g/t from/by:
arysteia and
china_shop when it was born. I couldn't make it to the 1st one but have been to the 2nd, 3rd and 5th.
Coke/Coke Zero/Sprite/Juice: Coke Zero, Coke, Sprite
Tea/Coffee: No thanks
Indian/Thai/Italian: All of the above (and both places we ate at last year were good)
I would like 15 Minutes of Fame: when do I not?
I will use it to: I already have a Glee pimp video mostly finished :) And not just cause I've done something music-related at every GT I've been too (though it is nice to continue the trend).

And after I sang a Hallelujah that it'd finally been cancelled, I hear those bitches at CW are stringing along the zombie!faithful, saying they'll renew it if the ratings are good enough... Where's Lex Luthor in a purple battlesuit when you need him?

Date: 2010-09-05 11:55 am (UTC)No, seriously, that could explain a lot...
Also, because I was procrastinating about some other stuff, I threw together a 20 minute reel of some of the Sherlock/John highlights from the first of the new Sherlock movies. It's grown so big so quick that I feel it should have some representation at G_T, so if there's time + no one else wants to do it, I can show that.

Date: 2010-09-05 12:15 pm (UTC)Do you like the new Sherlock? I love it, and so do my parents + sister. She rang me twenty minutes into first movie to tell me I had to watch them asap, as I hadn't yet.
The other presentation that I really want to do (time-depending) is actually related to the soaps I've gotten hooked on, but that's way harder to make than doing a bunch of clips from a single movie :)
