Vid Show Nominations -- Get them in please!!!

Righty-ho. This is going up somewhat later than I intended, but no stress. ;-p

These are the suggestions that came in for categories for the Inaugural Vid Oscars. It's not a final list, but I'm going to use it as a guide. Some may wind up being combined/separated out, depending on popularity.

In Universe

1) "Best Encapsulation of an Entire Fandom in One Vid" (I suspect this is the supreme award, a la Best Movie)

2) Best Crack/Best "our-characters-are-dorky-and-we-love-them" (pairing, concept, whatever)

3) Most unlikely (and yet successful) pairing of song and fandom/Most successful vidding of the unviddable

4) Best character study

5) I Can't Believe it's not Porn (best smut/innuendo/overtuendo)

6) Best Vid of a Fic (specifically matched)

7) Teamwork is Best! (best homage to a team)

Meta/Out of Universe/Technical

8) Best vid about fandom/fannishness/being a fan

9) Best use of effects (layering/colours/manips, etc)

10) Best Meta Commentary

11) Best Social Justice

12) Best use of imagery/symbolism

13) Best multi-fandom vid

14) Best AU/Best reinterpretation of canon

Wild Card/Write In

15) Best Vid that fits none of these categories but is still Best

So. If you could please nominate the actual vids now, that'd be fab. Comments to this post are screened, so we can enjoy the thrill of watching lame celebrities open envelopes. Okay, no. Still. Please provide the name of the vidder, ideally, and a download link where I can grab it from. You're awesome!

You have right up to the last minute, believe me. Your disorganisation is nothing on mine. Yep, noms not votes, feel free to double up. Lyn and I'll sort something out about selection later in the week.

I just went to the BEST presentation on IT and using the web/our shiny toys in teaching ever! Totally made up for every other dire and woeful session. :D:D:D
