It's that time of year again! Do you have a new fandom you're obsessed with? A pairing you can't believe no one else ships? A conversation/debate you really want to have?

Well, then. It's early days yet, and there's no commitment required now, but if you've got an idea you'd like to call dibs on, do it here, and avoid the rush. Also, if you have a suggestion you'd quite like someone else to take on (no guarantees) add that to the list too.

Basically there are a few categories here (no hard and fast rules):

1) Show Pimps -- is there an awesome new show (or a magnificent old one) that everyone should be watching? Let us know! Put together a few clips, or a basic primer (powerpoint, picspam etc) to advertise and convert the masses. [This includes media other than tv shows, natch.]

2) Ship Manifestos -- is there an OTP (or OT3 or...) that is oppressing fandom fairly leaping off the screen? Do likewise.

3) Panel Discussions -- everything you wanted to know and were afraid to ask. (You don't have to moderate, though you can if you'd like. Just chuck your questions down.)

As an administrative issue, the slots that are scheduled in against lunchbreaks are now "Warnings Attached" slots. There's no judgment whatsoever implied, YKINMK is in full force, but it's an acknowledgment that some people may prefer to avoid certain things.

Stlll confirmed for a maybe on Common Law - I should know by end of next week if life will allow me some time to put it together ...

Possible discussion topic is "Filing off the serial numbers - fair or unfair to your readers?" or some thing like that. I've seen a lot of buzz from both fans and m/m romance reviewers & readers regarding fanfic "hiding" when re-published. Some fans say it is taking back the gift, others say writers own what they write and can withdraw a work and do what they like. M/M romance readers sometimes feel cheated and sometimes don't care at all at a work's origins.

And I'm definitely coming to your Friday Marvel if it is still on. And can't wait to see what this "Teen Wolf" thing is that all the kids are talking about. *g*

I'm all "yay, my shiny new fandom is already being expertly pimped, and one of my other current faves too" but then I'm like "but I can't go to GT without a pimp of some sort!" (why? I don't know, but my brain randomly insists upon it), but I have nothing to pimp, woe.

And then I keep trying to come up with a topic suggestion about fan/show interactions (and fanservice) and the complete dissolve of barriers and awareness of fandom/slash, but haven't come up with something coherent and punchy.

I'm intending to making pimping reels for In Plain Sight or Parks & Recreation, plus a 20min mashup of the gay storyline from Smash and a 10min compilation of slash/threesometastic highlights of recent seasons of White Collar. Am cogitating on panel discussion topics. Is that too much?

Also, if we could have the registration forms soon, that would make the vid show planning easier, IJS. :-)

After consultation with China, I think I may just go all out and try for two presentations. One show pimp for Common Law. And one ship manifesto for H50 - Steve/Danny. Basically slash, just the slash. ( and maybe the dog) Let's just call it the Steve & Danny Show. *g*

The Common Law one will be shortish and I will definitely reign myself in on the S/D to keep the time reasonable.
