labellementeuse here, DW, and the AO3; @tui_talk on twitter; birdhead on tumblr (the latter are combo fannish-IRL ventures so I didn't want them intimately associated with my fannish identity); call me Tui. I tend not to recognise my lj name when addressed by it IRL.

What platforms do you use most these days (lj/dw/twitter/tumblr/AO3 -- yay, nay, or no longer?):
I'm on twitter seemingly 20 hours a day. I still check my DW friendslist almost daily and my LJ flist once a week or so but I rarely comment or post because ... lazy. I read tumblr when I'm bored and follow the AO3 tag for my main fandom pretty closely.

Are you a reader, a writer, an artist, a vidder, all of the above, or something else entirely:
Reader. Sometime desperately stupid writer. I've been alpha- and beta-reading a lot more this year and really enjoying it.

Wax lyrical (for a moment!) about your current fandoms and OTPs:
I'm now deeply immersed in hockey RPF where I'm reading any pairing but being kind of picky about the writing because I can be, so there. I'm shamefully into the juggernaut pairing (Kane/Toews) because it's hopelessly good for pining and misunderstandings. It's not enough fic to keep me going though so I'm also supplementing with binges in old fandoms.

Reminisce with one perfect crystal emo tear for the ship that sank or the fandom that finally faded away:
One of my recent binges was SGA. Man, there was a lot of great McShep (and some that really hasn't held up in retrospect). I also miss identity porn which comics fandom was so good for.

Any squicks or kinks (be clear which is which, *g*): In terms of reading squicks I'm pretty sure I'm now down to scat and non-con treated as romantic. I am a pathetic baby about visual squicks but my brand-new one from this year is living human mushroom gardens! Thanks Hannibal! Thanks that one vid I stupidly watched! Narrative kinks-wise I like a lot of the romance tropes like pretend dating. Breakup-makeup and characters being stoically miserable and emotionally repressed, yum yum yum.

Fannish highlight of your year:
Bound to be g/t, it always is. However, watching my hockey team win the Stanley Cup/have a generally fucking amazing year was awesome, as was getting to some local games.

Favourite new show/source text since last year:
I really loved Orange is the New Black (lesbians! women! women of colour! fat women! trans women! fat lesbian women of colour! in an incredibly funny and tender and also thoughtful package!) and Elementary (adorable) and Orphan Black (cloooooones, some of the better science fiction TV I've seen lately)

Favourite AO3 or tumblr tag:
The twitter murder hashtags have improved my life significantly: #murdermurdermurder, #murderbatman, #murderpolitics, etc. (my favourite of my own tumblr tags: "i only care about bruce when", because I refuse to reblog Batman unless he's cuddling a Batfamily member or at least, like, giving them really repressed praise.)

Where do you do the bulk of your fannish interaction? Is there a hotbed of awesome out there that someone might be missing out on? Any specific comms or tumblrs or rec sites or tags we should be following?
Twitter and sometimes on anon memes when I want to have a discussion that involves more than 140 characters. I try not to be That Anonymous Shithead. I wish someone would give a Pinboard tutorial because I don't understand it and want to.

I'll do yuletide. I'm currently in the desperate middle of the Exchange at Fic Corner, a children's fiction exchange challenge akin to YT. It's posting at I think the end of the month - you can check it out at fic-corner.dreamwidth.org.
